Geographic Location Clinton is situated at the southern boundary of the Fraser Plateau which extends 325 kilometres to the northwest. The Fraser Plateau, Quesnel and Shuswap Highlands on Clinton's northeast boundary, the Nechako Plateau to the north and Thompson Plateau to the south form the Interior Plateau, the main geographical feature of Central BC.
